Born in Basel, Switzerland. Zurich University Art History Major.
Exchange Student to the Graduate School of Waseda University.
Resident of Waseda Hoshien International Dormitory.
 
私の研究は、広く捉えれば、戦後日本の芸術運動（ビジュアルとパフォーミングアーツ）と映画にフォーカスしている。特に1960年代後半、抵抗運動に用いられた芸術的表現と、その運動における何人かの芸術家と映画製作者の交流に関心がある。
50年以上の時を経た今、1960年代後半芸術的な社会運動が徐々に日本内外の展示会で注目を集めている。そして、その歴史的な資料が人々の興味を湧かせ、1960年代を振り返る良い機会となっている。
 
The broad focus of my research includes Japanese postwar art movements(visual and performing arts) and Japanese cinema. I'm interested in artistic representations of the widespread protest movements, as well as some of the artistics and cinema practitioners relationships to these movements. Today, after roughly 50 years, the artistic and social movements of the late 1960's are increasingly being featured in museum exhibitions in and outside of Japan, and a variety of historical material is emerging to an interested public. This makes for a good opportunity to revisit this time period. 
 
現在、自分の研究はまだ出発点に立っているにすぎない。そのため、私は方法論や結論を披露するというより、特に自分が関心を寄せているアーティスト、並びに最近の日本のイシューを関連付けながら、歴史的な潮流の全体像を紹介してみたい。
そして奉仕園のStudy Hallが与えてくれた機会に、現在までの自分の研究や早稲田大学で過ごした時間が、いかに自分のプロジェクトに価値あるものを提供してくれたかを話したい。
 
At this point, my research is really only at a starting point. Therefore, instead of presenting a concrete methodology and conclusions, I would like to give an overview about the historical context, as well as the artists that I'm particularly interested in, and try and relate some of the issues of contemporary Japan. Futhermore I want to use the opportunity of Hoshien's 'study hall' to talk about the state of my research and how the semester at Waseda University provided valuable input for my project.
